TOP 4 BANGKOK MULTI-SPORT CLUBS

  • Racquet Club: Nestled in Sukhumvit 49 in the heart of Thonglor, the Racquet Club is a rare multi-sport club, very popular among expat families of all origins. Its wide range of sports includes tennis (7 covered courts), squash, badminton, climbing, 2 swimming pools, gym, boxing, muay thai, numerous fitness classes, scuba diving classes… Membership is open to everyone but a family subscription plan is the best deal on offer.
  • British Club: on Silom road is one of the oldest clubs in town, very popular with the English-speaking community and offering multiple activities and events outside sports. The British Club has over a thousand expat members. It boasts a wide range of sports: tennis, football, golf, squash, badminton, swimming, rugby, hockey, etc. The British Club is a real institution in Bangkok.
  • Royal Sports Club of Bangkok: the most exclusive sports club in Bangkok, reserved to a class of happy few and on invitation only (you will need to be co-opted by existing members). Famous for its horse-racing track surrounding a 9-hole golf course right in the middle of town (stunning views from the BTS – Silom line).
  • Polo Club: Under the patronage of the Royal Sports Club of Bangkok, this is the 2nd largest private sports club in Bangkok. Almost as exclusive as the above-named club, the “Polo” offers a wide range of sports on a large area – football, rugby, tennis and 50-meter swimming pool.

OTHER SPORTS CLUBS

  • Sakolpan : A small multi-sport club is located in the Phrakhanong area, with a more local feel than Racquet Club – swimming classes, tennis courts, badminton, basketball, scuba diving classes, etc.
  • Southerners Sports Club BKK : founded by a group of Australians and New Zealanders, a very laid-back club focused on Rugby, cricket, netball, and offering numerous social activities. As much a place to meet fellow expats as a sports club.
  • Old Bangkok Bangers Rugby Club : also founded by Australians, this club is only dedicated to rugby
  • KS Sports : laid-back multi-sports club centered on tennis, located in Phrakhanong (soi 71)
  • Santisuk tennis club: convenient tennis club in Sukhumvit 38
  • Bangna tennis club: tennis and swimming classes
  • Sirisuk tennis club: located on Narathiwat, 5 outdoor courts
  • Olympic club: near MBK (National Stadium) only club in Bangkok offering real grass courts
  • Chulalongkorn University Sports Center: 16 outdoor tennis courts next to the campus of this famous university
